Soulfire Alchemist
The game
Soulfire Alchemist (working title) is a top-down 3D game with survival elements about exploring a dangerous pitch-dark island, looking for recipes and materials to bring light back to the world.
We didn't have time to apply Alchemy. You can read more about what it could be in the GDD.
On the right side of the page you can see the concept art for the game.

Credits
The team behind the project is made up of two people: Snowwy, the programmer, and Piki, the 3D artist.
Both of us have worked collaboratively on every part of the game, but primarily, our roles were:
- Snowwy: Lead programmer, tester.
- Piki: 3D artist, sound design.
- Both: Game design.

Conclusion
As our first 3D game, and with barely any knowledge in game developing, we are happy with the result.
However, a lot is missing for it to accomplish our minimum viable product goal. I think the reason for it is that the scope of the game kept growing. That fact, plus not considering some basic elements in our initial plan, made our assignments list go from 12 to 20, which still doesn't account for crucial stuff like enemy AI.
Moreover, elements such as crafting and alchemy windows are missing, in part because it was hard to envision without any concept art or written system. On the same vein, although we made sound effects for the game, we didn't have enough time to code the sound triggers.
For future short projects, we should strive for a much smaller scope.
